This course will start with an introduction on historical development of TQM and its prominent concepts. It stresses upon how total quality practices developed and evolved in Japan. In a few decades, Japanese crept into the global manufacturing system. Various Japanese companies emerge as market leaders at the international level. This Course is specially designed for those learners who are new to Quality Management. They will learn the contribution of Japan in Quality Management and also you will learn what were the motivating factors in its expansion across the globe.

Participants will be able to differentiate between the two approaches of Quality Management, namely the Western Approach and the Japanese Approach and will be able to appreciate as to how the Japanese have gained the strategic advantage over their western counterparts by employing simplistic approach of managing Quality in their business organizations.
